r.jobson@ru.ac.za

Dr Jobson is trained in Family Medicine and in Adult Education. After experiencing a major depression, he started working in an academic department teaching pharmacology to health sciences students. Roy was awarded a Hubert H Humphrey Fellowship to spend a year at the University of Minnesota studying "Health Education and the Media." He has had several poems published in a South African poetry Journal, and has had two plays produced. One of these, "The Bones are Still Calling" could be labeled "post-apartheid protest theatre", and has been staged in community halls and schools in every province of the country as well as at an international conference. Roy is presently teaching Pharmacy students in the Faculty of Pharmacy at Rhodes University in Grahamstown -- the city where an annual Arts Festival takes place in South Africa. Roy has a special interest in Pharmacovigilance.
